Hey all!!!
I have created this blog to track my progress as an artist, as a sort of journal. Being an art student is a grand journey of finding oneself, and learning more of what one wants to do with their art. So I'm using this as a way to chronicle my adventures through art!
Recently, I have gotten hooked on creating Miniatures out of an epoxy substance called Green Stuff. I really like how it works so far! It holds detail well, and dries quickly allowing for fast working time. I generally use silicone shapers to do most of the modeling with ball-ended pins to do detailing. Most of the detailing however is done by shapers. I simply create the forms that I want to be details, and then I stick them onto the figure where I want them. I use this method for belts, buckles, clothes, and other small details. (sorry for the poor quality of the pictures, I dont have a great camera yet)
This guy is my Shadow-dancer character for D & D 3.5. He is pretty sweet! I started him off as a Hengeyokai, but then changed him to a human. The DM obliged with a sweet story about how his intelligent demonic dagger (the short-sword he is swinging around) "bit" him, and used his blood to make itself more powerful, and turned him human.
I learned a lot from youtuber Tom Mason, who makes great tutorials and videos on miniature sculpting. I used his methods of makig armatures for the armature below:
Just keeping on making new worlds, and new charterers to inhabit them!! I will post more stuff soon, so for now, keep working hard!
